this is what helps me survive in this confusing wolrd we live in, that does not automatically mean it will help everybody! You can of course use these strategys, but please adapt them to your needs!!

sensory overload


  • always have headphones with me when I'm expected to enter loud or crowded spaces
  • take sunglasses with me whenever I go outside or inside a bright space

general situation management


  • take something to fidget with me everywhere i go (can be a bracelet, a certain piece of clothing to wear, a fidget toy etc.)
  • take water with me whenever i leave the house
  • prepare for situations accordingly
  • things i need to do, need to be in sight, i will forget them otherwise!

selbstfürsorge / selfcare


  • Tee trinken, oft!
  • Zeit für hobbys und interessen einplannen
  • Spazieren gehen

structure


  • loose times
  • plan positive activites to recharge
  • use a calendar with a weekly layout, to have an overview
  • only plan one social event a day, not more!
  • have a regular sleep and waking up scheduel (for me: sleep at 11pm max, wake up at 8am latest,)
  • take time for hobbys and interests!
  • go for walks in the evening

emotional regulation


  • listen to music that suits the current emotion
  • wrtie down my thoughts and worrys time to time
